MAXCourage Essay Judging Non Sibi Project with Blakeman Hazzard Allen ’66

Morning Session - 9:00 to 12:00 p.m.
Afternoon Session - 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Judges may participate in either session or both


Andover volunteers are invited to judge the thirty-third annual MaxCourage Essay Contest - a national and international contest that encourages students from diverse backgrounds to use their writers’ voices and share personal narratives about exceptional acts of courage in their communities and in their lives. Winning essays will be published in the annual publication, The Courage of Children: Boston and Beyond. Additionally, one student each year is honored as the National Contest Winner!

Judges guidelines will be provided in advance of the event.

February 15th essay judging will be in-person at Northeastern University's Alumni Center. During registration, please indicate which session you will be participating in.

ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST ALSO REGISTER ON THE MAX COURAGE PORTAL BY MONDAY JANUARY 8th, TO BE CONSIDERED. Please note "Phillips Andover Alumni-Volunteer" in the comments field.
